Brakspear - Oxford Gold

As the name suggests, this ale is brewed in Oxford, but don't be deceived: there is nothing poncy here. This beer is very similar to the likes of London Pride, as it has a very prominent zesty citrus flavour, possibly due to its hops originating from England and the Continent.

Made with crystal hops it provides a very refreshing (and satisfying) experience. Plus the bottle has an almost simplistic excellence about it. Prompting the drinker to put down his or her packet of steak McCoy's and respect its elegance.

Slightly carbonated this beer would be fantastic for a summers evening with a barbecue and friends. I therefore rate this beer a decent 6 out of 10.
